We spend an excessive amount of time on "The Wheel of Time" series, not only because we have both read it and loved it, but also because it has been a source of frustration for us. The fact that it is the longest never finished book series that we have read adds a bit to our discussion.

Episode 8 is part two of a two part series discussing the Watergate scandal. In this episode we begin to discuss the years following the pardon of president Richard M. Nixon. We start this show with a review of the movie “Frost/Nixon” which portrays the events behind the interview between David Frost and Nixon and Frost's attempt to “give Nixon the trial he didn't receive.” We discuss why this interview had such a great impact on the American people and the world.

Episode 7 is the first of a two part series discussing the Watergate Scandal. The discussion begins with a review of both the book and movie “All the Presidents Men” and quickly turns into an encompassing discussion of the events of Watergate, the effects it had and continues to have on the country, and how this scandal has shaped the public view of government and especially the office of the president. We focus mainly on the events of the Watergate break-in, the subsequential cover-up, all the way up to the presidential pardon of of Nixon after his resignation. We attempt to give some background into the state of the nation culturally and politically so that the impact this scandal had on the nation at that time can be seen in context.
